Used IBC totes staged for washing and reconditioning

What you get

The essentials, done right.

01

Interior triple-rinse and hot-wash lines

02

Cage straightening, welding, and pallet replacement

03

Rebottling with new HDPE inner bottles

04

Wash certificates and prior-contents documentation

How it works

Three simple steps.

STEP 1

Intake & inspection

Every incoming tote is logged, drained, and graded against our condition standard.

STEP 2

Wash or rebottle

Totes are triple-rinsed to grade, or fitted with a new bottle when the interior can't be recovered.

STEP 3

Certify & return

Reconditioned totes ship with documentation and re-enter inventory or return to you.

Why IBC Tote Solutions

A partner built around the whole tote lifecycle.

Most suppliers do one slice of the loop and hand you off for the rest. We handle every stage a tote passes through, which keeps your program simple and keeps more material in service and out of the waste stream.

Advantage

One partner, the whole loop

We buy, sell, recondition, transport, repurpose, and recycle under one roof. That means fewer vendors, one point of contact, and totes that never fall through the cracks between suppliers.

Advantage

Everything in writing

No phone tag, no he-said-she-said. Grades, prior-contents history, fittings, pricing, and pickup windows are all confirmed by email before anything moves.

Advantage

Sustainability by default

Every decision points to the greenest option that still meets your spec. Reuse beats recycling, recycling beats landfill, and we track the difference so you can report it.

Advantage

Real inspection, real photos

Totes are logged, drained, washed to grade, and photographed. You see condition before you commit, not after the truck arrives.

Coverage

Shipping the contiguous 48 from Berea, Ohio.

Our central-Ohio location sits within a day's drive of a huge share of U.S. industry. Regional work moves on our own trucks; the rest of the country is served by freight partners we load to carrier standards.

Ohio & the Great Lakes

Same-week regional runs on our own trucks from the Berea hub — Cleveland, Columbus, Cincinnati, Toledo, Detroit, Pittsburgh, and everything between.

Midwest & Northeast

Fast lanes into Indiana, Michigan, Kentucky, Pennsylvania, New York, and the I-70 / I-80 corridors.

South & Southeast

Full-truckload and LTL freight into the Carolinas, Georgia, Tennessee, Texas, and Florida markets.

West & Mountain

Nationwide carrier coverage to the contiguous 48 — palletized and secured for damage-free cross-country transit.

We ship the lower 48 only — no Alaska, Hawaii, or international freight at this time. Send your ZIP with any request and we'll confirm the best lane and lead time in writing.

Quality standards

What “ready to fill” actually means.

A grade is only as good as the process behind it. Every tote that touches our floor moves through the same documented workflow, so “reconditioned” means the same thing on every order.

  • Drained and inspected on intake, then logged against a written condition standard.
  • Interior triple-rinsed or hot-washed to the grade you order.
  • Cages checked for straightness and weld integrity; pallets swapped when needed.
  • Valves, caps, and gaskets verified or replaced with chemical-appropriate seals.
  • Prior-contents history recorded per tote — you always know what it last held.
  • Wash certificates and documentation available for food-grade and regulated jobs.

Sustainability

The circular case for reused totes.

Reuse first

A tote is worth keeping in service.

A caged composite IBC is roughly 260 pounds of HDPE and steel. Every cycle it stays in use is a cycle we don't have to manufacture from scratch — saving the resin, the metal, and the freight of building new.

Zero to landfill

End-of-life still has value.

When a tote genuinely can't be reused, the HDPE gets ground and re-pelletized and the steel goes to metal recovery. Our standing goal is nothing to the landfill — and we can hand you diversion numbers for your ESG reporting.

Industries served

Totes for the work you actually do.

From maple syrup to machine coolant, the right tote depends on the liquid and the rules around it. Here's where our customers put ours to work.

Food & beverage

Syrups, edible oils, brewing, juice concentrate — food-grade and rebottled totes with documented history.

Chemical & industrial

Cleaners, coatings, adhesives, and process liquids in Grade A caged composites.

Agriculture

Fertilizer, crop inputs, and bulk water storage for farms and co-ops.

Water treatment

Reservoirs, dosing tanks, and freshwater storage across municipal and private sites.

Cosmetics & personal care

Clean, low-odor totes for sensitive formulations and blending programs.

Cannabis & extraction

Solvent-appropriate and food-grade options for processing operations.

Before you ask

Four things that speed up your quote.

You don't need any of this to reach out — but the more you can share up front, the faster and firmer our written quote comes back.

01

Quantity & cadence

One tote, a pallet, or a full truckload of 40+ — and whether this is a one-time need or a repeat program.

02

Liquid & grade

What the totes will hold (or last held), so we match Grade A, food-grade, or rebottled to the job.

03

Fittings & specs

Valve type, cap style, UN/DOT requirements, and any insulation or heating needs.

04

Location & dock

Your ZIP, dock hours, and forklift access so we can plan pickup or delivery around your day.

Explore the loop

Every stage connects.

IBC Tote Reconditioning rarely stands alone. Pair it with the rest of what we do and keep your whole tote program under one roof.

FAQ

Questions we hear on this service.

How do I get started with ibc tote reconditioning?

Use the quote form at the top of this page or email info@ibctotessolutions.com with your quantity, the liquid or grade you need, and your location. We reply fast, in writing, and confirm every detail before anything moves. There is no phone line by design — everything stays documented.

Do you serve my area?

We ship throughout the contiguous 48 states from our Berea, Ohio hub. Regional runs move on our own trucks; longer hauls travel by full-truckload or LTL freight. Send your ZIP with your request and we will map the logistics around your dock hours.

What sizes and formats do you handle?

Our core inventory is 275 and 330 gallon caged composite IBCs — an HDPE inner bottle in a galvanized steel cage on a pallet base. Both share a 40 by 48 inch footprint, so they mix on the same rack and truck. We also handle food-grade, rebottled, insulated, and select specialty formats.

Can I combine this with your other services?

Yes — that is the point of working with a single circular partner. Buy, sell, reconditioning, transport, and recycling all connect. Many customers pair a purchase with buyback of their empties, or a delivery with reverse-logistics pickup, on the same run.

How does pricing work?

Pricing scales with grade, quantity, and freight distance. A single tote is priced differently than a full truckload, and repeat programs earn better rates. We quote firm and in writing so there are no surprises when the invoice arrives.
