Accessories & Parts
Keep totes in service with the right parts.
A worn valve or cracked gasket shouldn't retire a good tote. We stock the fittings, seals, and handling gear that keep totes working — the most sustainable repair there is.
Quick answer: We supply IBC valves, camlock and garden-hose adapters, vented and solid caps, EPDM/Viton gasket kits, insulating jackets, replacement pallet bases, transfer pumps, and level gauges.

The full catalog
Everything, sorted by where it goes.
From the bottom outlet to the top cap to the pallet under it, here is the whole parts library grouped by function so you can find the right piece fast.
Valves & outlets
- 2 inch butterfly valve — the standard bottom outlet; quarter-turn, high flow, easy to reseal.
- Ball valve — tighter shutoff and finer control for thinner liquids.
- Buttress-thread replacements — swap a worn or seized outlet without touching the bottle.
Adapters & couplings
- Camlock (cam-and-groove) — quick-connect for pumps and transfer hoses.
- Garden-hose (GHT) adapter — threads a standard hose for gravity draining and irrigation.
- NPT bushings — step the outlet down to tapered pipe thread for hard plumbing.
Caps & closures
- Vented top caps — equalize pressure so the bottle draws down without collapsing.
- Solid sealed caps — vapor-tight for transport and volatile product.
- Tamper-evident lids — show at a glance whether a tote has been opened in transit.
Gaskets & seals
- EPDM gasket kits — the water-based standard; great value for neutral chemistry.
- Viton gasket kits — upgrade for fuels, solvents, and aggressive product.
- Cap and valve O-rings — the cheap parts that stop the expensive leaks.
Handling & storage
- Replacement pallet bases — composite, steel, or wood on the standard 40 by 48 footprint.
- Insulating jackets — passive thermal wraps for temperature-sensitive product.
- Band and blanket heaters — active heat to keep resins and syrups pumpable.
Transfer & monitoring
- Transfer pumps — hand, electric, and air-driven to match your duty cycle.
- Level gauges and sight strips — read remaining volume without opening the cap.
- Drip pans and spill containment — keep the outlet area clean and compliant.
Thread & coupling guide
NPT, camlock, GHT & buttress — decoded.
Most connection headaches come down to a thread mismatch. Here is what each common IBC thread is for and what it mates with, so you order the right adapter the first time.
| Thread / coupling | What it is for | Pairs with |
|---|---|---|
| Buttress (S60x6 / 6 inch) | The coarse cap thread on most IBC bottle necks | Vented caps, reducers, and fill adapters |
| NPT (tapered pipe) | Permanent plumbing into a process line | Bushings, valves, and rigid pipe fittings |
| Camlock (cam-and-groove) | Fast, tool-free hose and pump connections | Type A to F couplers, dust caps and plugs |
| GHT (garden hose) | Low-pressure gravity draining and rinse water | Standard hoses, splitters, and shutoff nozzles |
Gasket compatibility
EPDM vs Viton — pick the seal, not the leak.
The gasket is the cheapest part on the tote and the one that fails first when it is the wrong material. This chart is a starting point — always confirm against your exact product before you order.
EPDM for water-based. Viton for fuels and solvents. When in doubt, ask us.
| Chemistry | EPDM | Viton | Our pick |
|---|---|---|---|
| Water, brines & mild detergents | Excellent | Good | EPDM — the economical standard |
| Acids & caustics (dilute) | Good | Good | EPDM usually suffices; confirm concentration |
| Fuels, oils & hydrocarbons | Poor | Excellent | Viton — EPDM swells in petroleum |
| Aromatic & chlorinated solvents | Poor | Excellent | Viton, and verify the specific solvent |
| Hot product & steam | Good | Good | Either; match to the chemistry, not just heat |
Maintenance schedule
What to check, and when.
A tote lasts far longer on a light maintenance rhythm than on run-to-failure. Here is a simple inspection and replacement cadence for the parts that matter.
| Part | When to check / replace | Why it matters |
|---|---|---|
| Valve gaskets & O-rings | Inspect each fill; replace on any weep | A dollar seal prevents a leaking tote and a rejected load. |
| Butterfly / ball valve | Replace when it will not fully seal | A valve that drips or sticks is a spill waiting to happen. |
| Top cap & vent | Check seal and vent path each use | A blocked vent collapses the bottle; a bad seal leaks vapor. |
| Cage & pallet base | Inspect before every stack | Damaged steel loses its stacking rating — never load a bent cage. |
Install tips
Six habits that stop most leaks.
Hand-tighten threaded fittings first, then snug a quarter turn — buttress and NPT threads strip if you crank them.
Seat a fresh gasket every time you open a valve or cap; reusing a compressed seal is the top cause of slow leaks.
Match camlock types before you order — a Type A adapter only mates with a Type C coupler, not any camlock.
Tape or dope NPT threads, never buttress or camlock — those seal on the gasket, not the thread.
Confirm gasket chemistry against your product before install; the wrong elastomer swells and fails within days.
Keep a small spare-parts kit on the shelf — caps, O-rings, and a valve — so a five-minute swap never stops a fill.

Accessories FAQ
Parts & fitment questions, answered.
What size is the standard IBC tote outlet?
The standard bottom outlet is a 2 inch valve on a coarse buttress thread, most often a butterfly valve. Adapters step it to camlock, garden-hose, or NPT so it connects to almost any pump or hose.
What is the difference between EPDM and Viton gaskets?
EPDM is the economical standard and performs well with water-based liquids, brines, and many dilute acids and caustics. Viton resists fuels, oils, and aggressive solvents that swell EPDM. Match the elastomer to your specific chemistry.
Can I replace a worn valve myself?
Yes. A butterfly or ball valve unthreads from the outlet and a replacement threads back on with a fresh gasket — a few-minute job with hand tools. If the outlet flange or bottle is damaged, that is a reconditioning question, not a parts swap.
How do I know which adapter fits my pump or hose?
Identify the coupling on your equipment — camlock type, garden-hose thread, or NPT — and match the adapter to it. Tell us what your hose or pump ends in and we will spec the adapter and gaskets so it connects on the first try.
Do I need a vented or solid top cap?
Use a vented cap when you draw liquid out, so air replaces it and the bottle does not collapse. Use a solid sealed cap for transport, vapor control, or volatile product. Many operations keep both and swap by task.
How often should I replace gaskets and O-rings?
Inspect them at every fill and replace at the first sign of weeping, cracking, or swelling. Seals are the cheapest part on the tote and the most common source of leaks, so err toward replacing early.
Can accessories make an old tote usable again?
Often, yes — a new valve, fresh gaskets, and the right cap put many tired totes back in service. That is the most sustainable repair there is. When a bottle or cage is compromised, full reconditioning is the better route.
